Foxleaf Terms of Service

Foxleaf is operated by TRON Technologies LLC ("Foxleaf", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using Foxleaf (the mobile apps and foxleafapp.com), you agree to these terms.

Effective: July 21, 2026 · Last updated: July 21, 2026 · Contact: support@foxleafapp.com

1. What Foxleaf does

Foxleaf turns audiobooks into illustrated audiobooks. Transcription and image generation happen on your device. You can browse public-domain books, and you can upload audio you own to have it illustrated and synced to your devices.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction; Foxleaf is not directed to children under 13.

3. Audio you upload — you must have the rights

You may only upload audio you own or otherwise have the right to use. In the app and on the portal, before you upload or buy, you confirm this by agreeing to the statement:

"I confirm I have the right to upload this audiobook. Foxleaf is for personal use with audiobooks you own or have permission to share; uploading copyrighted content without permission is prohibited."

You keep all rights in the audio you upload; you grant Foxleaf only the limited permission needed to store it, relay it to your devices, transcribe it on your device, and illustrate it for you. This does not apply to public-domain catalog books, which carry no such requirement.

4. Purchases are licenses, not ownership

When you buy a book through Foxleaf, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to access that book's content through the service on your account. You are not buying the underlying work or any ownership of it. Purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Stripe (Android); their terms also apply to the transaction. Refunds follow the applicable app-store or payment-processor policy.

5. Public-domain catalog

Catalog books are sourced from public-domain providers (such as LibriVox and the Internet Archive). Availability and accuracy of catalog metadata are not guaranteed.

6. AI-generated illustrations

Illustrations are machine-generated by an AI model from the book's text. They may not accurately or appropriately represent the text — they can be inaccurate, stylized, fail to depict the story, or produce imagery that some people find objectionable — and they are not authored, reviewed, or endorsed by Foxleaf. Because they are generated on your device from the specific book you provide, we do not control or pre-screen their content. They are created for your personal listening experience; do not rely on them as an accurate or appropriate representation of the work.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no uploading content you lack rights to, no attempting to break, overload, or reverse the service's protections, and no using Foxleaf to infringe others' rights.

8. Copyright and takedown

If you believe content on or handled by Foxleaf infringes your rights, contact support@foxleafapp.com with: the work concerned, the material at issue, your contact information, and a statement of your good-faith belief and authority to act. We will review and act on valid notices, which may include removing content and, for repeat infringers, terminating accounts.

9. Termination

You may stop using Foxleaf and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the rights of others.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Foxleaf is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noticed in the app or on foxleafapp.com. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
